What does IWD mean to you?

KA: International Women’s Day is a time to be grateful for all the amazing women in my life who have mentored, cared for, and inspired me – from my Mum, to close friends, and teachers. They have all had such an incredible impact on me. But, IWD also reminds me that girls and women throughout the world, and even in Australia need support in all forms (practical, financial and psychological) to access the things that raise us up and create opportunities – education, healthcare and the ability to work.

GB: This year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘digitALL’ has a significant impact on us at Bespoke. Our success has been made possible by championing women in science and technology, and our access to the internet. Closing the gap for women globally in accessibility to online technology plays a big role in education and access to career opportunity in the 21st century. By educating women – especially in fields where they are underrepresented like science and technology– we can not only increase their knowledge and skill on an individual level but also as a whole.

CB: I recently found out that there is a term for the invisible labor involved in managing a household and family, which typically falls on women’s shoulders, called “the mental load”. Not only do we as women take on “the mental load” we also are able to thrive in the workforce, make time for our friends and look after those around us. We should always be proud of ourselves but I think it’s a good day to reflect and do something to make us happy. Maybe treat ourselves to some skincare (hehe).

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not working?

KA: It’s definitely to spend time outdoors with my family and dog – whether it be running, mountain-biking, surfing or hiking – that’s my happy place.

GB: Anything that involves getting out into nature! I love taking my two dogs for long walks whilst listening to a podcast or catching up with friends for coffee.

CB: You’ll find me either browsing online stores or binging on housewifes (also love a self-help book here and there).

What quote do you live by?

KA: “There is no limit to what we, as women, can accomplish.” – Michelle Obama.

GB: You’re better to have tried and failed, than to never have tried at all.

CB: Be the energy you want to attract.

What’s your favourite Bespoke product?

KA: My favourite Bespoke product is definitely the Dream Cream. Like so many women these days, I’m time poor.

Using the Dream Cream in a single step to meet all my skin rejuvenation needs, saves me precious time, and leaves more time for sleep, getting everyone out of the house in the morning and for more moments with loved ones.

I’d rather have time for these things, than spend it on a complicated multi-step skincare routine.

GB: All of them! But if I had to choose one to take to a desert island, it would have to be the Dream Cream.

CB: It used to be Replenish Cleansing Butter (which I still love) however the other day I ran out of Dream Cream and didn’t have it for a week and I seriously noticed the difference.
