Whilst some women experience an improvement in their background skin condition during pregnancy, others experience significant flare-ups caused by hormone fluctuations and physiological changes. 9 months is a long time to have to shelve any effective treatment for acne, melasma or skin aging. This motivated Dr. Armour to formulate Dream Cream & Luminosity Revive and Refine Serum. These products contain highly effective, multi-tasking ingredients that fight acne and congestion, fine lines, sun damage, and unwanted pigmentation. They are perfect for anyone wanting to rejuvenate their skin. But, most importantly, our skincare for pregnant women is safe for those carrying or planning a pregnancy. From battling unwanted pigmentation and freckles, increased oil production and skin sensitivities, we have pregnancy-safe skincare that will target and treat your primary concerns.

Discover dermatologically-tested skincare for pregnant women

If you’re grappling with hyperpigmentation, acne, oiliness, uneven skin tone or signs of aging, our pregnancy-safe skincare products have been scientifically developed to combat these concerns while nourishing, hydrating and healing your complexion to bring it back to its healthiest state. Our pregnancy skincare is brimming with non-comedogenic, active ingredients, including:
  • Bakuchiol — If you’ve noticed that pregnancy has accelerated the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles due to hormonal changes and stress, this ingredient is a natural alternative to retinoids and helps to stimulate collagen production.
  • Astaxanthin — If you’re dealing with unwanted redness or pigmentation throughout your pregnancy, this ingredient is 65 times more potent in its antioxidant properties than Vitamin C, making it one of the highest-performing, results-driven pregnancy skincare ingredients on the market.
  • Niacinamide — Helping to improve uneven skin tone, clogged pores and texture, target rosacea and acne, soften fine lines and wrinkles and strengthen your skin’s natural barrier, Niacinamide is a key ingredient in many of our pregnancy skincare formulas. It also contains anti-inflammatory compounds that help soothe redness and irritation — two conditions women often encounter during pregnancy.
  • Lactic Acid — If you’ve found that your skin’s texture has shifted throughout your bump journey, Lactic Acid counteracts this concern by gently exfoliating the skin to treat acne breakouts and hyperpigmentation by inhibiting melanin production.
  • Antioxidants — From Green Tea Extract to L-carnosine and Resveratrol, the potent yet gentle antioxidants found in our Radiance Reset Anti-Pollution Cleanser, Dream Cream and Luminosity cleanser,  help combat dryness, minimise irritation and protect from environmental stressors.

Frequently asked questions

During pregnancy and breastfeeding you cannot use:

  • Vitamin A (Retinoids)

The only Bespoke product that is NOT safe for use during pregnancy is Complete Night Shield as it contains a retinoid.

1  – Wearing a broad spectrum sunscreen every day – this is safe to do so during pregnancy.

2 – Use multitasking ingredients that target pigmentation and inflammation but are also safe for use during pregnancy.  Some of Dr Armour’s favourites are:

  • Bakuchiol a unique multitasker that increases cell turnover, reduces fine lines/wrinkles, combats photo damage and stimulates collagen production. It works on the same receptors in our skin as retinoids (Vitamin A), however it is safe for use during pregnancy.
  • Niacinamide visibly reduces the appearance of pores, regulates oil production and improves blotchy pigmentation.
  • Green Tea is a calming, anti-inflammatory antioxidant that helps neutralise the adverse effects of UV exposure and unwanted pigmentation.
  • Resveratrol brightens the skin while also soothing and plumping the skin.
  • Astaxanthin is a powerhouse at combating unwanted pigmentation and sun damage. When topically applied, skin becomes brighter and more luminous.
  • Ferulic acid is great for fading and preventing dark spots. It can also help to reduce redness in the skin.
